I’ve lived in Portland, Oregon for 29 years and have built my career in the field of Human Resources over that same period of time.
Over the years I moved into management and executive roles in HR, Public Affairs, and Operations. I now run my own company. You can learn more about Portland HR Solutions, Inc. by visiting www.pdxhr.com.
I love this state, the people I’ve worked with, and the companies I’ve worked for. When not running the business, I spend time with family and friends, ride motorcycles, read every moment I can, and just enjoy being in this wonderful city.
From 2014 through 2018, I had the privilege of serving as board chair and operations director for the most impactful non-profit in Oregon and the nation on immigrant rights issues: The Innovation Law Lab. I still advise this amazing organization on day-to-day HR issues.
My wife, Joyce Fleming, has worked in national politics for many years: first for Senator Mark O. Hatfield, then for Congressman Earl Blumenauer, and now for Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici.
We travel a lot, spend time on the family farm, and love to visit our son who is pursuing his PhD in Chinese language and literature at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. We also have the privilege of taking care of a Saint Bernard. In case anyone asks: Yes, she is a lot of work. But we wouldn’t have it any other way.
